Testimonies
About 11 years ago - a handful of youth pastors, John Sherrill, and I began to discuss the pros and cons of the youth camps we took our students to. After a lot of prayer and way too many meetings, we held our very first Camp 220 outside of Waco with two churches and a handful of students. Since then, God has had His hand on Camp 220 and I know for a fact that many of my former students are changing this world for Christ because of the impact Camp 220 had on their lives.

One word comes to mind when I think of my experience at 220: transforming. This camp does not worry about camp highs, but true transformation of life. There is a tremendous amount of prayer that goes into this camp, and it shows in the way God's presence is saturated in everything that is done. My students have never been the same!

I went to camp this last summer as an adult leader. I almost didn't go because I teach school and was concerned about having my classroom ready in time, however, some friends convinced me to go. I must say that I am so glad that I did go. God moved not only on those teenager's lives, but also on my life. I had struggled with depression for several years and I was at a point where I did not want to deal with it anymore. The night that we had a prayer walk, I gave it all to God. He has taken it away! Sure, I still get sad, but I do not deal with the overwhelming sadness that I once had. I am much happier now and my relationship with Christ is much different. I was even baptized when I returned from 220! I am so thankful that God made a way for me to be able to attend camp and I look forward to being a part again. I want to thank you and all the staff of 220 for all the time and prayer that ya'll put into these meetings! Thank you again. I'll see you all soon!

I have never been in community with a people who desire the authentic will of Christ to take place no matter what the cost. I've had the privilege of being a part of 220 since 2001, ... starting as a student, then working as a crew member, and now serving on staff. I can honestly say that I know and have encountered a very real God each and every time we come together. Not only has my life been forever changed through this ministry, but there have been literally 1000's of people who have sat in the presence of God, in sheer amazement at the work of our Lord, and will never be the same because of it. There will never be a 220 event in which I will not be involved with somehow because the favor of our Lord is upon this ministry. Praise God we can be a part of that!

Camp 220 is the kind of camp every youth pastor desires, but hasn't been able to find. As a youth leader I was tired of camps that excited my kids for a few weeks but did not change their lives. I have seen students lives altered forever through the ministry of 220. A year later my students are still talking about what God did at 220, and for many it is a major spiritual marker in their lives. If you are tired of fluff, expose your students to the deep Bible teaching, passionate worship and incredible times of prayer and repentance that happen every year at Camp 220.

What we need more than anything else today is a real and mighty outpouring of the Spirit of God. The most fundamental trouble with most so-called camps is that they are man-made and not God-sent. 220 is not the same old stuff just packaged a little different. Come one come all, young and old, be a part of the awakening called Camp 220.

My oldest son has been part of the 220 camps and conferences for years! He is amazingly bold in his faith and he attributes that to the growth he has experienced at 220 events. He has a tremendous witness and I feel very indebted to 220 for all that has been poured into my son. As a parent of teens, I feel safer with ministries like 220 to help fill the gap.

I've seen amazing things each time and even though my children are both too old to attend now I am still involved! God truly works through these camps, and the staff is amazing!
